THE PROJECT
As a follow-up to the Elmwood Avenue water main replacement and rehabilitation of the drainage and pavement upgrade project, the Village of Senneville wishes to inform the public of the details of the Elmwood Avenue pavement upgrade.
REALIZATION OF THE WORK
The work to be completed on Elmwood Avenue consists mainly of asphalting the finish coat.
- Wednesday, June 26: Installation of “Elmwood Avenue closure” signage
- Thursday, June 27: Asphalt paving and street sweeping
- Friday, June 28: Distribution of paving notices to Elmwood Avenue residents
- Wednesday, July 3: Paving of second layer
- The days following July 3: Cleaning and adjustment of gravel shoulders
CALMING MEASURES
- The Contractor shall not obstruct access to properties for a period of more than 24 hours. Property owners who will not be able to access their property by road shall be notified at least 48 hours in advance.
- The Contractor shall allow pedestrian access to residences at all times and facilitate access when required by the owner.
- Garbage and recycling will be collected as usual. The contractor will ensure accessibility or will carry the bins if required. Whenever possible, the contractor will backfill at the end of the day to allow access to the properties.
- To preserve the tranquility of the neighborhood, work will not begin before 7:00 a.m. No work is scheduled at night, on Sunday and holidays.
WORK SCHEDULE
Work will take place during the day, Monday to Friday, from the last week of June to early July 2024.
SPECIFIC MEASURES
In order to preserve the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood, construction work, material deliveries and other work is prohibited: (a) from Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; (b) on Saturdays before 8:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m.; and (c) on Sundays, holidays or non-working days.
TRAFFIC
There will be a complete closure of Elmwood Avenue between Senneville Road and Pacific Avenue on July 3 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
*** If you need to leave your private driveway on July 3 with your car, we invite you to remove it from your driveway before 7 a.m. and park it along the street on Pacific Avenue or in the Senneville Park parking lot.
We are aware of the inconveniences that this work may cause and we are taking all necessary measures to minimize the impact.
