The Village of Senneville is looking for homeowners to volunteer to install a water meter in their residential building.
The objective is to obtain a true picture of water consumption on our territory and optimize its use.
This initiative is part of the Stratégie québécoise d’économie d’eau potable (Quebec’s strategy for saving drinking water), based on residential consumption, adopted by the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation (MAMH).
We’re asking for your help to take part in this initiative, free of charge. If the required number of volunteers is not reached, residences will be selected at random, in accordance with provincial government guidelines.
The meter will be installed inside your home, by a plumber paid for by the municipality, near your isolation valve, also known as the water inlet. The data collected will be used for statistical purposes only and will not be used to bill consumption.
The cost of purchasing and installing the equipment will be borne entirely by the Village de Senneville. You will benefit from the replacement of the interior valve to ensure a hermetic seal on the water supply inside the house, reducing the risk of water damage.
We urge you to take part in this important initiative for the future of our environment. To volunteer for the installation of a water meter, fill in the form.
